WAITING 6 MONTHS TO RECIEVE MY EXCESS OF R3000 BAC

In December, my husband was driving my car to pick me up at work, when a truck smashed into the back of him. He was stationary, waiting to take the turn off into 15th avenue when it happened. (It was therefore not his fault and the car was written off). MiWay asked us to pay the excess of R3000 which we did. The lawyer said that we would receive our excess money back (R3000) once the case was closed. It has been 6 MONTHS NOW!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CLOSE THE CASE & WHY DO I HAVE TO WAIT 6 MONTHS TO RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK IF THE ACCIDENT WAS NOT MY FAULT?

I ALSO WANT TO MENTION THAT IT TOOK 1 MONTH! TO PAY ME OUT FOR MY CAR THAT WAS WRITTEN OFF! THIS IS UNACEPTABLE & I HOPE MIWAY SORTS IT OUT.
