OutSurance DISGUSTING treatment of an old women

My mother was recently burgled, her television, kettle, laptop and items of her jewellery were among other things. She lodged a claim with Outsurance. They sent out an independent assessor to quiz her on this burglary. The treatment metered out to her by this revolting individual was truly DISGUSTING!!! He grilled her for over 3 hours and gleefully brought her to tears, making all sorts of unsubstantiated accusations and attacking her character on many occasions. What kind of vile insurer subjects an old and vulnerable women to these kinds of GESTAPO tactics!!! This vile person again visited her again and AGAIN brought her to tears during a subsequent 1 and a half hour interrogation. We learned today that Outsurance has rejected her claim and cancelled her insurance due to material misrepresentation. This is due to the fact that we did not report a previous television that i had bought her being in July 2012 even though it was uninsured and never claimed for.
They have also said they will be refunding all her premiums with regards to her home contents cover!
What kind of insurer rejects ones claim and then hands back your premiums at the same time!!!
