Nedbank
Unacceptable Service

Business & Finance

I changed my debit order date for my personal loan to the 4th of every month. On the 2nd May my nedbank personal loan came of my account which in turn made my medical aid payment bounce and I was charged R90 for my medical aid payment being unpaid. I called the call centre complaining that my debit order had come off early and was informed that the reason for this was due to the 4th falling on a Saturday. This made no sense to me but what could I do. The following week I noticed that my account balance was very low and noticed that the nedbank loans department had infact taken off another payment on the 4th May. Upon calling them I was informed that this was done due to me changing my debit order date - when changing this date I was not informed that I would be debited twice. I requested that a refund be done and changed my debit order date back to the last working day of each month (this was on the 7th May 2013). I was informed that the refund would be back in my accout within 24 - 48 hours. It is now the 12th May and I am still waiting for my refund. Each consultant has given me a different story. I have spent R300 in phone calls to try get my refund back!!!
