Delays in processing applications

I sent in my application a few days after i obtained my yearly renewable contract. I sent in my papers that soon because i knew that applications are accepted only if the contract of employment is 12months or longer. Meaning i had made it in time. Today is the 10th of May and they have been sitting on my application for 3 months. Now the call centre agent says my application is not going to be successful because it is late!!
If this was a problem i encountered at branch level, i would be more understanding. But this is at Head Office. Really!
