For 2months not insured in my new house?

Business & Finance

Move into my new house on 01 Dec 2012. Had a house break-in on 25 Dec 2012 (house contents), door & battler door broken/damaged and fixed them immediately. Another break-in beginning of Jan 2013 (battler broken again) attended to the battler immediately by molding it so that is does not open at all-so i have been using the front/another door all this time. My new neighbors on the side of the broken battler door have just moved in. Now is safe to use the back door, but the battler is still damaged. I tried to do a claim with OUTsurance but my claim was denied reason being: FNB only activated my cover on 29 Jan 2013 - that is 2 months after i have moved into my new home. So i can only claim for incidents that happened after 29 Jan 2013.How can i move into a new house without being insured? Why doesn't the date i moved in count? Y do u only look at the date when paper work was completed. FNB definitely does not look after their clients. I am supposed to be covered from the 1st day i moved in. If floods came and washed away my new house I would still be told i was not insured. This is unacceptable. Y must i suffered because of FNB activating my insurance 2months after I moved in?
