The level of service just keeps getting worse

About 2 weeks ago I wrote to Standard Bank regarding two complaints.. I received one phone call after I sent 2 emails to their complaints centre and posted on Hello Peter. I explained that I was in a meeting and could not take the call. That was the last I heard from anyone. On 4/5 I contacted the branch to establish if my new credit card and cheque account had arrived and when entering the branch I was greeted by name and whipped into a cubicle to receive both. I also wrote to a newspaper and this was their response.

I have contacted Standard Bank's communication department who said they will investigate the matter but they need either your ID number or account number, as well as your contact number so that they can be in touch with you directly.

Seriously? Is there anyone running this bank or are the lunatics running the asylum? The level of service is so poor that it seems crazy to trust them with your money. Nobody knows what's going on - neither the branch nor the head office or different departments.
