Bad service at Standard Bank led to closing all my accounts with them, after 20 years of supporting them. It is even harder to close accounts than opening them.

I thought the service was bad at Brooklyn (1 out of 10) and decided to go to Menlyn and the service there is sub zero. This is pathetic and South Africans deserve better. No one has hours to waste in trading hours. I don't mind going into the bank to sort something out, but when the time lost for something simple is more than 3 hours; it is really ridiculous.

My wife and I moved everything to Investec and are extremely happy with the service there.
