So disappointed at the corruption in this bank

I have been contacted by standard bank several times beause they claim i owe them over 37 000. They gave a person a loan with my details without doing a thorough background check. I went in to the Musgrave branch, where a lady helped me. I saw the application of the loan and all the data was false. Even the phone number used to do the application was not mine, but when installment was due, standard bank managed to find my number and tell me to pay their money back but the didnt care to call me beforehand and verify if it really is me.

I gave them all the documents they needed, and this was last year. Till this day no one has bothered to give me feedback on the status of the investigation, and meanwhile my credit score is being affected.

I was asked to send through some documents along with a letter from home affair. I asked them to give me a letter to take to home affairs because it was required. From then on was silence. Such poor service and such curruption in the banks we trust with all our money. Is it really that easy to bypass this system?
