I would just like to say how shocking Standard Bank's customer service is when it comes to Vehicle and Asset Finance.

I was woken by a sms saying that I had R32 800 removed from my account by VAF. I was totally shocked so I rushed to find my contract and sure enough it was the residual amount for my vehicle.

This amount totally cleaned out my account and left me with a major negative balance. As it was the 24th of the month my debit orders would now be coming off and would bounce, not to mention not being able to pay rent.

I phoned VAF to see what could be done and why I hadn't been notified this was coming off, only to be told they sent a letter!! Do you know how the postal service works in this country? including the current postal strike. You have all my contact details, and in this day and age the least I could expect was an email or telephone notification.

How can it take your company 12 working days (OVER 2 WEEKS!!)
to contact me back with a resolution to this matter? and when I contact you all I get is a "Sorry Mr Cross". I think this is ridiculous that it can take a company as big as yours this long just to contact me, never mind resolve this issue.
