I have been banking with fnb for 10 years, last month i had to open a business account with them for well convenience sake. thinking the procedure will be relatively painless. rigmarole after rigmarole and documents after documents (we had a proof of address that was a week old and we were given hassles for that although both the business partners have existing accounts with FNB) Now i need a proof of banking letter from FNB and i am being told that i have to come into the branch for that too although they have our email addresses on the system to send it through to, even if they need verification. Cheque book was ordered while we were there to create the account, the cards came and the lady says the chq book was not ordered. so another trip now. we are a starting of business and we have to worry about these issues. the account creation process took more that 2 hours rendering our day null and void. i cant register with suppliers because i need the proof of banking and dont have the time to come into the branch. Why do i have to jump through these hoops when the bank stands to make money out of what i bank? can these simple request not be automated or life be made simpler?
