Still Awaiting for Full refund of defective item

On 20 Dec 2014, i had ordered a waterproof mp3 player via Groupon, The item arrived on 8 January 2014, yet after attempting to use it while swimming (which it claims to be able to do), i discovered the left earphone to not be working at all. I then emailed Groupon customer service (apparently that's all we get as liaison these days) to inquire about collecting the item & subsequently replacing it - this is well stipulated in their terms & conditions wrt defective items. To date (3 Feb 2014) & over 30 emails between myself and a Ms Das from their customer service, I am still waiting a decent response.

I have been told that they are out of stock, that the item will be collected and that I will be refunded. Also, that the matter has been handed over to management. It has been over a month & now they refuse to respond to my emails. This started out as getting a gift on behalf of a friend, I now have to reimburse the person. But who the reimburses me?

This is unacceptable and totally unprofessional! Also, I tried purchasing another item & was debited 3 times! To date, I have not been reimbursed!

Is this how Groupon treats their clients-pathetic!

I deserve an explanation!!
