In Nov 2012 I purchaed deal thru Groupn for accomodation at Dolphin Coast. Deal ID 13770070. I paid R6804. I was called by manager of Dolphin Coast to say that the deal was incorrectly advertised and that it cost much more so I asked for a full refund. After much running around I was refunded. On 19 Jan 2013 I was debited again by Groupon for R6804. Today is the 31st Jan and this query has still not been sorted. I have proof of all my mails. The first response was by Ulrich Absolom on Jan 21at 9.26am to say my request was receiving VIP attention. I then get an email from Waseema Peters at 16.25pm to say your refund has now been reversed back to the credit card used and should reflect in the next 3-5 working days. I then get an email from team leader or supervisor Maurisia to ask for my bank statements to prove that the debit was effected. I asked why after I been told that the refund was done that you ask me for my bank statements. I emailed her the proof but still have not been refunded. Because of this error by Groupon my account has insufficinet funds. I have purchased so many deals thru Groupon but never again. Staff at Groupon dont know what they are doing.
