I was excited to find a product I wanted and ordered it, paying via eft on Oct 21. After not receiving the voucher by Oct 23 and seeing a "payment refused" notice on my account, I emailed customer care requesting assistance. I was told that the payment could not be checked until 5 days later. I followed up again with numerous requests, was asked to send proof of payment, did so thrice with no response. 24 days later I call the centre and am told I'll get a refund and that you're backlogged?

The deal ended 10 days after the order. If I had been told why payment was refused, I could have been refunded and re-ordered, with no harm done (because it was a simple error on my part) actually getting the item that I wanted rather than paying charges and wasting time on something I won't get. The problem with an automated system that appears to be unmonitored means that simple mistakes fall through the cracks. You're making enough money, hire more people. Thanks Groupon, great service. Not.
