Purchased a voucher for a BT keyboard for my iPad. The item was poorly specified, but obviously overly well represented in their photographs. A day after the purchase I saw the very same item at a Chinese mall. It was poorly manufactured and cheaper than the Groupon so-called 50% discounted price. I immediately notified Groupon and requested a cancellation of my purchase. I even offered that they could retain my money as a credit for me to use on future Groupon purchases. They responded that they would "investigate" my query! A simple return requiring "investigation" should have aroused my suspicion. After no further response from them I sent an e-mail 2 weeks later to follow up, to which they didn't respond. A month after the initial transaction they merely delivered the item at the receptionist of my employer. Another query unsurprisingly yielded no response from them. I've probably lost R350 in the process, but this will motivate me to keep on spreading the word to warn others! In future before transacting business with any online company I'll first check that Wayne Gosling &/or Daniel Guasco aren't in any way involved! I hope they got their money's worth, it won't happen again!
