Groupon does not seem to be conducting sufficient checks with regards to their suppliers. We recently bought Spa vouchers for Luxury Lifestyle Spa. The voucher and website stated that the spa was located at The Lakes Hotel in Benoni, but on arrival we were advised that they had moved to 8 VIEWPOINT ROAD, BOKSBURG.

The new address led us to an empty, run down house in Boksburg. There was no land-line and the cell phone numbers provided were switched off. We have not been able to reach them since.

On Sunday 04.08.2013 another Groupon special was sent out for a Spa package at "HEALTH HYDRO" with that same bogus physical address... which means it is THE SAME!!! If you Google the address, the house is painted orange with signage outside & cars parked on the pavement which makes it look legit. But I physically went to the address and the house is painted blue now, run down and empty with a sign for an alternative business (which also seems to have gone belly-up) in front.

This does not bode well for client confidence in Groupon's products or services.

One thing I can say is that I at least got my money refunded by Groupon!

I would suggest stricter checks be put in place.
