Should I waste my time reporting baggage

I'm on my way from the airport. They once again broke into my bag. I'm not sure what has been lost because I just don't have the energy for this right now, nowing its going to a waste of my time reporting this. The last time they R5000 worth of stuff. SAA requires you to go to the police station make a case and get an affidavet. Then fill in a long form... etc. They took 4 mounths to get back to me and only paid me R170. So I ask myself is it worth it going through this process again.
P.s. I had just read in the sawabonga magazine how proud they are of there improved security in the baggage area!
