Cancellation of Booking despite payment

Yesterday the 19 February 2013, a booking was made via your website. We indicated that payment would be completed via SID. The SID programme was not working as it did not provide the necessary screen for an OTP number. Knowing we only had 1hr in which to complete payment, we logged into the business account (FNB) and did payment of R1361 - which went off.

This morning I still had not received confirmation of booking so called the customer care line, to be told that since SID did not complete, my booking was automatically cancelled and I need to pay in the difference of R296, despite my proof of payment showing that full payment was made within an hour of the booking. Proof of payment was emailed through, and yet not accepted. Is this now called a ransom? Is this how Kulula now operate?

This is totally unacceptable and am sure in breach of the Consumers Protection Act.
