I have booked a number of our Company Staff on the Intercape bus service. Two from Bloemfontein and one from Harrismith to Pretoria.
The bookings was done via a corporate credit card. Their procedure is that if you book someone with a card not belonging to that person you need to send a copy of the card and an Id copy of the person who the card belongs to, to their Head Office so that the transaction can be confirmed. Well this was done, all as requested on their website.
This morning I had a situation where the two people from Bloemfontein was denied boarding the bus as they did not confirm with the Head Office if the transaction for the tickets went through. I had to phone and finally got it sorted and they made the bus just in time.
This afternoon the person from Harrismith was denied boarding the bus as well as the hostess on the bus did not follow procedure and phoned the Head Office to confirm the busticket. As a result he missed the bus and now he has to wait for the next bus.
This means he will arrive late and we now have to make alternative arrangements for him to be picked up as the drop off point in Pretoria.
This is so unprofessional!
