A colleague of mine intend travelling from CTN to JHB. As he had no access to an online ticket purchasing let alone any outlets he quickly notified & requested me to buy a ticket for him at the Checkers Sandton City branch Compu Ticket outlet.
I quickly opted for Grey Hound & Purchased the ticket for a 15h00 CTN departure 09h20 JHB arrival. My colleague arrived at the CTN bus departing deport about 10-15 minutes late and found the bus left.
The attending person said he could change to the 18h00 bus or the following day, only that the changing of time or day needed to be done where the ticket was bought.
To cut my story short, I went to where I purchased but was told they don't do as they were only Compu Ticket outlet and not Grey Hound, but they gave me the number to call for further help. (fair enough)
Called the Call Centre spoke to their unhelpful Supervisor named Bridgette who just bluntly told me that I should forget about that ticket, it's no longer valid. A complete unethical & uncustomer centric policy. In this day and age surely the least any world class and client centric company would do is to penalise one for the changes instead of just saying no
