I once bought a ticket from Greyhound for a trip that was scheduled for the 02/04/2012, due to some personal constrains, I was not able to use the ticket for the days as planned, but i went to Greyhound before the date of the trip to notify them of my setuation. I was advised that I cannot be refunded my money but will be able to re-book at a later date for another trip later or transfer the ticket to a family member. I have been unable to get a family member but each time time I get a friend travelling, I have been advised that that person must have the same surname as one on the ticket. Recently I have been advised that I have failed to use the ticket within a period of 6 months and therefore I cannot transfer the ticket to someone, and cannot be refunded. I find thisbeing a daylight because I cannot pay R665 for nothing/no service. The ticket does not specify any expirey day on the conditions at the back of the ticket. Since I cannot get a family member with same surname, I do not expect the ticket to expire because I paid for the service. I must either use the service or get my money back, but I do not expect the ticket to expire while service not rendered.
