I was travelling to Johannesburg from Dubai with two young children in December 2012, having booked my flights in April. I requested that the SAA representative who booked my flights select seats where we could sit together. Unbeknownst to us she prebooked seat numbers that do not exist on the flight. The tickets provided had our prebooked seat numbers on it, but as these seats did not exist the airline just chose to automatically assign us new seats ending up with us all being scattered around the plane.

I contacted Online Customer Support via email 3 times asking them to rectify the problem so that we can sit together but every email was ignored.

Come on SAA! I expect better service from our national carrier. How can you just ignore your customer's emails. Useless!
