Delays in returning money owed after cancellation

30 days ago i booked a flight from JHB to LDN via Frankfurt. Upon receipt of the confirmation I noticed an incorrect date. I spoke to your call center and was advised to cancel the ticket and rebook. This would mean I would receive a full refund. I duly did so, received my cancellation confirmation and new e-ticket.
30 days on I have still not received my refund. Your call center advised today that it can take 6-8 weeks. When I questioned this she blamed my bank. I have never experienced such delays caused by my bank.
I think 30 days is sufficient waiting period for my money and I would like to know why Lufthansa has to hold onto client money for so long and when i will receive it.
