I had a flight from cape town to port elizabeth on sunday 22 december at 10:45. Upon arriving at check in. I was told the flight was full and had to see the flight controller. The flight controller allowed a passenger before me to board the exact same flight to pe and when i approched him he just told me the flight is full and the next flight is at 15:00 but i should go to the ticket office and sort it out there. Getting there and speaking with the lady at the desk she told me i would have to pay in a difference to get on the next flight. The amount would be R1375.00. Why should i have to pay in that extra when it was not my fault if the flight over booked. On top of that the 15:00 flight was delayed until 17:30 and they did not even have the decency to inform the passengers.
