Mango Airlines
Mam please die then you get your money back SHOCK

Traveling & Tourism

A while back we purchased a ticket from Mango Airlines for my mother to fly. Recently she was diagnosed with a life changing illness and after speaking to her physicist and psychologist they informed us she should not fly alone. When requesting refund on the ticket purchased I was informed to send a doctor's note to support my claim for them to consider refunding the ticket. I did this immediately and forward the letter to them. I was informed that due to their policy they only refund in case of death and they send me a voucher for the value of the ticket. I CLEARLY stated it would be of no use as my mother would not be able to fly ever again and we would want the credit card used to purchase the ticket to be refunded. Again they send the the same information "passenger have to die first to be able to refund in rand value"

Now my question is: Is this valid according to SA's new credit law and is this what FlyMango would rather see happen that my mother should die? WHAT TYPE OF COMPANY IS THIS THEN?? for surely I have never seen anything like this in my life before...
"mam please die first then you get your money back" This is a serious illness and FlyMango need to respect that
