Good day
My name is Firdows Burns. On the 20th of November, I flew with SAA from CapeTown to Johannesburg, and then to Mumbai. Trying to be productive I check myself in online the night before. The next morning, I check in my bag and receive boarding passes for both flights. All went well. Until I got to Mumbai where I was asked for my visa. Prior to leaving I had read in The National, that visa's can be received on arrival. The Indian Officials Informed me that it was not the case. They were so shocked that I made it all the way to Mumbai with no visa. I went through Cape Town, were my bags were checked in and the Customs in Johannesburg. I was not allowed entry and was sent home on the next flight. I have contacted SAA customer services and was told to send an mail. I have mailed twice with no response. Why will SAA not reply to my email and admit that there was a huge mistake on there end as well? My experience with the Indian Official was terrible as well I was made to wait for almost an hour before I was given any information. I was made to feel like a criminal. SaAA should take responsibly.
