Putco offloading passengers in front of moving ca

I am writing to you to report a very disturbing incident which happened this morning.

One of your Putco buses was travelling north on Old Pretoria Road stopped just before the intersection with Le Roux Ave, around 7.10 am this morning. The bus was in the middle lane, and proceeded to offload passengers directly into the left hand turning lane, that is into the road before the intersection.

Since I was driving in this open left hand turning lane, I had to quickly brake to avoid hitting around 8 disembarking passengers. If I had not been vigilant, or if I had been there 2 seconds earlier, I would have hit the offloading passengers and this would have been the direct result of the driver's illegal and irresponsible actions, and your company would have been liable.

I complained to the bus driver who seemed oblivious to his wrong-doing.

To make matters worse, Old Pretoria Road has two bus stops with bus lanes, which the driver clearly did not use.

I urge you to address this matter of offloading passengers into the street with the driver concerned, as well as reminded all of your drivers of the risks of such actions.

Please do something before someone gets killed!
