Within airlines is now a business

My father who lived in South Africa, passed away and I had to buy a plane ticket home immediately. I bought my ticket from S.A.A which cost about $2700. On my departure there were issues with the plane that non of the crew members could explain to the passengers. They just delayed the flight and told us their working on the problem, This almost caused me to miss my dads funeral, I made it to my connecting flight with not even seconds to spare. arriving in Durban I found out my bags did not make it and would arrive 2 days later. I was left with no clothes for 2 days. Two days later my bags arrived and it was broken into and some personal belongings were. While dealing with the death of my dad I had to deal with this and the airlines weren't very helpful. I had to go to the police station and make a report and then fax the report to Johannesburg's head office. I called the head office to make sure they had the report and started the claim, they advised me to wait 21 business days and call back. I was back in Washington by the 21st business day so calling south Africa meant
