All I want is an invoice

Have been trying to get an invoice for days. Why don't we just get the invoice as soon as my payment is made.
This is not the first time and why must I go and request the invoice. I paid and I got a confirmation then i am told to wait 72 hours for a simple invoice. The system is not good for 2013. Please do something about it.
