Ridiculous penalties!!!

I bought a flight long a go with a 14 hour layover in Amsterdam. The flight was cheap and I Thought I can always adjust things when the time comes. All I wanted to do was get to Amsterdam on my own and then re join my connecting flight. I mean I have paid for the entire flight and I should be able to join my flight if it is possible at a later stage. FOR THIS THEY FINE YOU A WOPPING R2000.00 per ticket.

IN short lets say you buy a return ticket and you miss your departure BUT you MANAGE to get to your destination on your own. You can not fly back on your return ticket (WICH YOU PAID FOR) without a penalty

THIS IS A CATCH. IF I HAVE EVER SEEN ONE. I mean it is a bit of an admin headache but R2000.00
