I travelled with SAA from Cape Town to Johannesburg and then with Airlink to Maseru. My bag was checked through from Cape Town to Maseru. On receiving my bag in Maseru the handle was broken and the lock was broken off with some clothing items missing. Airlink gave me a claim form but guess what - they want receipts for the items that were! Who keeps receipts for all clothing items for in case the SAA / Airlink staff decides to "shop" from your bag? Very nice of them to offer the claim form, but I guess nobody will be able to claim! My broken bag was "replaced", but I am expected to take 2 hours out of my day plus pay for fuel and parking to go and fetch it at the airport!
