I booked a flight leaving Jhb 27Sep at 6.45am and ret 30th at 12.05pm I got to the airport at 6.22am on Fri morn only 2 be told by a rude lady at the counter that the gates had closed 2 min ago. There was still 23 min left bfore the flight cud take off so I suggested that I cud board the flight without any checked in bags apart from my cabin bag That woman was so arrogant, refusing to even listen to what I had to say. Her attitude as a customer service agent stinks and I can't believe that Mango can employ staff of this calibre. Whilst still at the counter, I hear family of another passenger saying that the passenger managed to get a standby on that very flight. So it seems just bcause I was 2 min late my seat was SOLD to another passenger. Nice way of doin business. I had no choice but to pay a further R1070 and get on the 9.15am flight to Dbn. I pitched up early on Mon to board my flight back to Jhb. Flight was to leave Dbn @ 12.05pm, but only took off at 12.35pm And that's 30 min late. So, if the passenger is a few min late, we are expected to pay again, but if Mango is late, then it's ok. To me, this is totally unacceptable. I am disgusted @ the service I received from Mango.
