Rare Earth Retreats
No concern for their guests safety!

We have been at lodges throughout Africa during extreme weather conditions such as floods, rains and strong winds. It never phased us as the lodges were always well equipped and protected us against the natural elements. we arrived at outpost and were showed to our room when the weather took a turn for the worse, the room only has 1 wall to protect us against wind and rain, the other 3 sides of the room was only covered in blinds from the roof to the floor. The sound was unbearable as the blinds bashed against the roof that it sounded like a door being bashed open and closed all night! The rain poured into the room and my partner became sick with a terrible fever as there was no way to escape the wind or heat up the room. He tried to sleep in a 2 square meter bathroom as this was the only room with a door and 4 walls. We checked out at 7am the next morning on his birthday. The COO of Rare Earth Retreats refused our refund with a snotty sms. We requested a meeting with the board of Rare Earth Retreats from Chick John Legh whom did not bother to respond. He asked his PA to phone us, whom were also incredibly unfriendly, to basically tell us they don't care and we can do as we wish.
