My partner and travelled on british airways from dbn to jnb on 04 jan 2013, onwards to hong kong, manila via cathay pacific. upon arriving at jnb, we did not receive our 1 bag that was checked in, it was left behind in durban. leonard in baggage claims assured me that it will be on the next available flight to manila, the next day. i then issued him a copy of my hotel address in manila, so that he could foward it as promised. i had booked 1 night stay in manila only, cause i was travelling to my partners village - 3 hours by bus
at noon the next day, i had to call 3 times to south africa because my bag was not received only to be told that it was sent final destination to hong kong- full stop!
leonard was weekend off, so some bright spark sent it to kong kong, it seems leonard did not foward my details to the other persons
anyway, after 3 return trips to manila airport, it was finally fowarded to manila airport, at my request
i had to stay another night at the hotel, because my bag arrived at 6pm in the evening
now british airways says they will not pay for my extra night hotel stay, just R1000 for 2days- 2 people ie R250 per person per day
never again british airways
