I tried to book a flight online on 23 June 2013. After filing out all my card details I got an error message that there has been a problem with processing the payment and I should try pay again which I did.
The flight is for Sinazo Gola leaving from East London to Johannesburg on 25 June 2013. After the 2nd payment attempt I noticed the amount of the flight (879x2) had been deducted from my account.
I had R1 600 in my account and this means that my account went into a negative. I went to Kulula @ OR Tambo and they said there was nothing they could do. They said they could see the flight bookings (two of them) but there was no payment for them therefore meaning I had no flight. I call the callcentre (as referred by consultant at OR Tambo) 24 June 2013 and I am told that I should make a new booking and the price has changed. So not only did I have R 1 758 deducted from my account and incurring charges for negative bank bal and having no flight, wasting time and money going to OR Tambo to resolve the issue, I have to pay for a higher flight charge! This is unacceptable. All i wanted now was for Kulula to give me the flight at the price it was at time of booking.
