My wife and I bought air tickets via Amadea to travel to New Zealand and Australia. We paid R36700 in September 2012, but when we got to ORTambo on 16 Jan 2013 to depart we discovered with a shock that the airline had not been paid and consequently cancelled our bookings. We had to return home, wondering if we would ever see our money again, as well as the about R13000 we pre-paid for arrangements in Australia. The irony is that we have dealt with Belinda for about 10 years with excellent service, and never expected that she would let us down like this. The relationship of trust that grew between us and Amadea, makes the experience even more shocking. However, having said all this, we wish her well and hope that she learnt a lesson, although a very expensive one at that. You can run, but you can't hide. I already now know of three other incidents and the SA Police are after the lady.
