Ebucks travel - reward or ripoff

Booked and paid for international travel tickets on Emirates through the ebucks travel website because I qualify for the 40% percent discount. I noticed that the amounts charged did not add up based on the fare charged by the airline. On querying with the head of eBucks travel I was informed that the eBucks travel agency add a mark up to all tickets sold. They (the agency) are entitled to do so but nowhere on the website do they mention any markup. They also refuse to provide me in writing with a full and detailed breakdown of all charges.
