On Friday afternoon 10 May 2013 we arrived earlier at OR Tambo to find long queues at the service counters for SAA. As I wished to enquire how to go about getting onto an earlier flight, I approached Thabang Weeto as there were no clients at his counter in the premium aisle. He advised that all flights were fully booked and recommended that I should rather keep our later flight. He then went the extra mile and offered to book us on, even though we were not premium class travellers. He then advised that one of the two of us had already been allocated a complimentary upgrade and after a quick telephone call, he promptly handed over 2 x complimentary business class boarding passes. Thabang Weeto is a proud SAA example of providing service excellence, with a smile and literally going the extra mile for the Client.
