On Friday 3 July I bought a domestic economy class one way from Flight Centre, Rosebank. I was offered flight on Mango. I specified that I wanted an SAA flight and that I was prepared to pay the cost for an SAA ticket. The sales clerk, quoted me an SAA flight at a higher price and promised to email the ticket to me before COB. It did not happen. On Saturday I called several times and just before COB on Saturday they emailed the e-ticket to me. When I arrived at OR Tambo, I discovered that Flight Centre deceptively placed me on a SAA code share flight despite paying a higher fee (the flight has an SAA number but it is operated by Mango). Despite earlier complaints on Hellopeter and promises from Flight Centre they still do not have an emergency contact number on their website. So, literally, I was. I called several times on Monday to lodge a complaint. My call was taken by several people who all promised to look into the matter and get back to me. A week later I am still waiting for answers. Am I surprised? No, I've read all the other complaints about Flight Centre on Hellopeter. I am convinced that screwing their clients for a quick buck is their modus operandi.
