Data bundle mishap

I bought the 2 1 gb data bundle, and realised to late that it will not do me any good in the area I'm staying in. 8ta will not refund my purchase, even though I will not be able to use it, in order for me to buy a different bundle.

How come when you go to any shop, except 8ta, and purchase something, you are able to return it and buy something else in its place if you realise that the first item you bought is not going to serve its purpose?

WHY CANT 8TA DO THE SAME?

Please can I get some feedback on this matter as the normal call centre 'BATTERY CHICKENS' are not able to help me!
