We decided earlier this year to our business cellphone numbers to Cell C due to the promised cost savings. Our initial test calls were fine, so we started the process.

The first two users who ported, were in Cape Town, and although they reported some new connection problems they could live with it due to the cost savings. In Jhb - the two users (our sales director and the national sales coordinator) were left in the lurch completely. 80% of all incoming and outgoung calls failed wherever they were, and the calls that did come through dropped between 10 and 40 seconds after the call was made.

I logged a call with Nashua Mobile, our service provider, who advised me to forward a coverage form to [Email Removed] After a few days, and considering the urgency of the matter I started calling around - the matter was escalated by various people at Cell C and Nashua Mobile, but till today, we have only received one call from a network representative doing basic troubleshooting.

I asked Nashua Mobile to reverse the ports, abut apparently Cell C refuse until a technician comes out - which is just not happening. We are now forwarding all calls at our expense to prepaid sim's.
