Vodacom False Upgrade Info and Overpriced

Hi my name is Wimpie,

I recieved a sms from Vodacom on Monday the 8th of April 2013 stating the following."Your Vodacom Contract on 082 490... expires on the 06-08-2013. Please contact Vodacom to upgrade to the latest device, alternatively you will automatically continue on a month-to-month Contract"

I then went to the Vodashop in the Lakeside Mall to proceed with my uprade. I was assisted by Thabo Motswagae. I then showed him the sms I recieved. He then showed the sms to his manager who said he must contact the Customer Care and ask them to do the upgrade. The Customer care then said I do not qualify for an upgrade as my average spend per month is only R 685-00 per month not not R 800-00. With all my contracts combined I spend anything between R 2000-00 to R 2300-00 per month. I wanted to upgrade to a IPone 5. After looking at the deals on offer for the Talk 240 contract I have, I was shocked to see that I would pay R 699-00 for the same contract. So I was not able to upgrade! I the went to Cell C and they have the almost the same contract on offer for R 399-00. I was realy dissapointed as I have been a Vodacom customer for more than 10 years. I would Vodacom to resolve this!
