Still waiting for my sim card over a week now

I made an online order for a laptopn special data on Tuesday the 2nd of April 2013.By Thursday (4 April) the same week I had not heard from the sales dept. However, at the same time I made the order I also placed an enquiry on their website with regards to the special offer as I had a few questions. Someone called me on Thursday morning but it was with regards to the enquiry and not my order. I was advised to do the order again as there was some type of "backlog". I had to reorder telephonically (what a schlep!) and even though they say they deliver in 24hrs - I only received my laptop and modem on 9 April 2013. I went home, checked it and found no sim card for my data. I enquired and was advised I should receive it on the 10th or 11th. No one had told me before hand they were out of stock and I think I should have been advised - really. Well, its the 12th and I am still waiting for my sim card. What is the point if I cant access the internet from my laptop - that is why I bought it in the first place. I need someone to get me my sim card and confirm when it will be here. I am quite disappointed and wonder now why I went with ALtech in the 1st place.
