Unfair Billing

Telecommunications

On 23 November 2010 I signed a 24 month Vodafone 3GHSDPA Subscriber Agreement with Atlantic for 175 Meg with the proviso that if I wanted to increase the capacity I could at any stage without signing a new contract. Some months later I increased the capacity to 400 Meg with an email request to Tiaan De Beer & it was implemented accordingly.
In February 2013 I asked Vodacom about their special deals on internet access & was advised that my 2010 contract had expired & I could proceed with the special. I emailed Atlantic to ask what their requirements were for me to calcel their contract & I was advised to write a letter which I did on the assumption that the 2 years had now elapsed.
On 21 March 2013 I received an invoice for an early cancellation fee for R738.42 & when I emailed Juanie Smith about it I was informed that "my letter was forwarded to cancellations department without any investigation" & later advised that "if I had not signed a new contract or received a new modem I would not be held liable for the cancellation fee". I emailed their accounts department & was advised by Romano Dayal that they will investigate but my bank a/c was unilaterally debited on 2 April!!!
