Cell phone repairs - 7 weeks later still nothing!

I took my phone in on the 18th of February 2013 for repairs (Under warranty). I was told that it will take between 4 - 6 weeks. After 4 weeks I started calling so I could see if there had been any progress. Every time I called I got the same answer - the phone was sitting at the repair facility. Eventually after calling almost everyday for 3 weeks and getting the same answer one of the staff members mentioned that there was a problem at the repair facility (They had no details about the problem and told me to call another number. The other number was just their automated customer service line - no operator and was not of any use). All I want is a proper answer. I don't understand how it can take 7 weeks to fix a phone. Even after 7 weeks they can't tell me if the phone is going to be repaired of not which makes me think it has not even been looked at! No one has ever phoned me with a status update or to let me know that they are having problems.

I am quite sure that if I stopped paying my bill for 2 months they would be contacting me constantly.

I don't know what to do anymore! It seems as if they think that if they ignore you, you'll go away!
