Incompetent and lack of response

On 20 Feb, I informed Telkom that I would be moving from Ottery to Plumstead. I asked that the Ottery line be cancelled and a new line be installed. This process took about 20 mins and I was reassured that all was in order by the very efficient consultant. OR SO I THOUGHT!!!

Over the next few days / weeks, I received several calls about my order and each time I verified that the new line was for Plumstead. In March I got a call that they would be coming out on 23/03. I was delighted until I received another call on the 20th. During this conversation with the technician I discovered the they had were actually going to install a new line at the very address that I cancelled my existing line. As a result, the technician was not authorised to come out to the Plumstead address. SHOCKING!!! After several calls, Telkom still manages to get this wrong. What's worse is that I logged a complaint on their website and they are yet to respond to me.

To say that I am irritated is an understatement. It has been more than a month and I still don't have a line. So much for your 'easy and convenient way to place an order instead instead of standing in long queues.
