Suddenly no reception, then no service

After moving house a mere three kilometers from where I had excellent 8ta reception, I now had none. Zero bars. It was difficult enough to find the right person to speak to about my problem, but eventually through twitter I found the right channel and help was promised quickly.
That was on the 5th of March. Two weeks passed without any help and I sent a reminder and then a week later another reminder which did get a response with a case/complaint number. Two days ago I received an email from 8ta which informed me that my query has been resolved since I'm not a subscriber. If only that were true.
