Blackberry 9380 repair problem

I took my blackberry 9380 to vodacare Highvel mall on the 14-03-13 (job number8689488) with a faulty menu button. A week later I was told that they not fixing the phone due to the fact I tampered with it but the phones security seal was not broken how could I have tampered with it then a while ago the phone got very hot could that not have caused damage on the pc board due to them saying I soldered on the pc board
