Vodacom... a bad choice of cellular SP

I recently relocated and due to the lack of Telkom infrastructure in our area, I was forced to make use of Vodacom's 3G data service. Apart from the fact that have consistently encountered connectivity issues with my Vodacom cell phone service as well, i.e. calls dropping regularly, bad reception etc. I am now also encountering the same issues with my data service. I have logged these issues with Vodacom on two or three occasions over the past year and all I get told is that they are aware of this problem and will be putting up a new tower in our vicinity soon. A year or more later, there is still no tower and Vodacom's service still. I run my business from home and am heavily dependent on internet connectivity. Given the problems I have been encountering, I requested that my 3G contract be cancelled only to be told that I will be penalized roughly R 4000.00 to exit the contract!! So, I am paying for a service that I am not getting and find it hard to understand why I must be penalized for Vodacom's inability to provide a proper service. I think its time to get my lawyers and ICASA involved!! My Advice to others - STAY FAR, FAR AWAY FROM VODACOM!!!
