Telkom
Bad Service and Broken promises

Telecommunications

In December 2012 I moved to a new address. Telkom had a special on at the time, Stating that line transfers would include a free cordless telephone. This worked out perfectly because the telephone at the old house belonged to the owner and I'm disabled so it would help me to have less trouble with a ordinary landline telephone.

Eventually in January once the transfer was complete I was told to go to the closet branch to collect my cordless phone set. I was told none were in stock and they took my name and number promising to contact me once the phone was available. Luckily in the mean time my father in law had a old phone available that I am able to use but it is very faulty and difficult to use.

I returned to the Branch in February. Waited in 2 queues and was told they still had no stock nor did anyone know of my need to be contacted once they had stock. The agents in the shop were not at all helpful and eventually I ended up waiting in my wheelchair behind the service desk until I was assisted. Once I got a chance I spoke to one of the agents who sent an email while I waited to her supervisor.

It has now been 2 months. No reply and no working handset.
