Terrible service and LYING

I get that Telkom is a monopoly and can therefore be lazy and employ minimal staff, but get some accountability! My husband and I were told we'd get a "free cordless phone" when we moved houses. We went to the Telkom store on Sat 9/02 to fetch said phone. We were told that the branch was out of stock. Furthermore, they couldnt tell us when they would have stock. We asked for the store manager/owner's number and were given a landline number and told to call on Monday as they cannot give out the cellphone number of the owner/manager. On the 12th, I received an SMS telling me that they had the phone in stock and that it was RESERVED for us. No number to reply to or call and we were away the following Saturday and could not collect.
On Sat 23/02 we set off for Fourways again to collect our "reserved" phone. We got there and were told that our "reserved" phone had been sold and there was no stock. Best part: the lady from the previous time told us that she had CALLED to tell us they had it in stock on the 12th. We did not get any kind of call! What a LIE! A different employee then gave us the Manager's cell # - so much for not being "allowed" to give it to us. LIE! No answer obviously
